Coming to Manali
Manali doesn't have it's own Airport or railway Station.
By Rail : Nearest rail heads are Chandigarh and
Pathankot. Manali can be reached by road from these bases.
By Road : Manali is well linked by road with
Delhi, Chandigarh, Ambala, Dehradun,
Haridwar, Shimla, Dharamsala and Chamba
or Dalhousie. There is regular bus services between these stations. Manali
is connected with Leh during the months of July to October.

White water rafting
White water rafting in valleys of Manali is done on river Beas from Pirdi
(4 kms ahead of Kullu town) down to Jhiri, a stretch of approximately 14
kms. (Period Apr 15th-Jun end). The journey takes nearly one & half hour
consisting of rapids from grade II & III.
Paragliding
Paragliding is organized in Kullu valley throughout the year at Solang
Valley, located 14 kms from Manali and other locations like Marhi, Fatru,
Bijli Mahadev etc.
Get Absorbed In
Hadimba Temple : The main attraction at Manali is
historically and archeologically famous the Dhoongri Temple dedicated to
goddess Hadimba, the Bhim of the Hindu Epic Mahabharat. The temple has
four-tiered Pagoda like roof and the entrance is carved with mythological
shapes and symbols. Located about 2.5 km from the tourist office, amidst
dense forest of deodar, the temple was built in the 1533 A.D.
Manu Temple : Manu Temple, dedicated to Manu Rishi, is
set some 3 kms. from the main bazar in old Manali. It is believed to be the
only temple of Manu in India, the creator of human race on the earth.
Vashist Hot Water Springs and Temple : Situated 3 km from
Manali is Vashist, a small village situated on the left bank of the river
Beas, onwards Rohtang pass. The place is worth a visit for its renowned hot
springs and temples. Close to this, is a stone temple in pyramidal shape,
dedicated to Vashist Muni. There is another temple dedicated to Lord Ram,
based at this place. Natural hot sulphur springs (said to have curative
value) with two separate bathing tanks for gents and ladies are always
crowded with tourists.
Mountaneering Institute : It is located some 3 kms. on
the left river bank of Beas onwards Kulu. The Institute organises basic &
advance training courses, in trekking, mountaineering, skiing and water
sports. All those who are interested in skiing and trekking, can hire the
required equipments from here by booking in advance.

Club House : This place is about 2 kms. from the town.
Tibetan Monasteries : Two of the three monasteries are
located in the town and the other one at Aleo on the left bank of Beas
river.
Nehru Kund : Located almost 5 kms. on National Highway to
Leh.
Solang Valley : This scenic valley is at distance of 13
km, between Solang village and Beas Kund.
Kothi : Situated on the road towards Rohtang pass, a
picturesque spot, Kothi about 12kms. from Manali.
Rahala Water Falls : Is about 16 kms. onwards Rohtang
pass. It is a good picnic spot as well.
Arjun Cave : It is based at 4kms. from Manali towards
Naggar, the cave is situated near Prini village.
Jagatsukh : Located 6 kms. from Manali, on the left bank
of river Beas on the road to Naggar.
