There are three groups of temple in Khajuraho - Western Group, Southern
Group, Eastern Group. All the groups depict the sculptures and various moods
of Hindu Gods & Goddesses and Human habits. Most of them feature daily
lifestyle of woman.
Western Temples : In Western group of temples you can
explore - Kandariya Mahadeo, Chaunsat Yogini, Chitragupta Temple, Lakshamana
Temple, Matangeswara Temple.
Eastern Temples : Explore the - Parsvanth Temple, Ghantai
Temple, Adinath Temple in this group.
Southern Temples : This group has some newly excavated
temples, which are believed to be older then the other 84 temples. Some of
the temples in the gropu are - Duladeo Temple, Chaturbhuj Temple, State
Museum of Tribal and Folk Arts, New Temple Excavated. You can also enjoy
Sound & Light Show in this part of the whole temple complex.

Panna National Park : Panna National Park, 32 km away and
a mere 30 minute drive from Khajuraho.
Raneh Falls : Raneh Falls is 19 km. from Khajuraho, on
the ken river are famous for their rock formations.
Ken Nature Trail : Ken Nature Trail about 22 km from
Khajuraho, within a walking distance from Raneh falls, is a jungle track
exhibiting natural beauty and imparts a knowledge of the surroundings.
Ken Gharial Sanctuary : Some 24 kms from Khajuraho.
Banisagar Lake : At a distance of 11km from Khajuraho, a
nice picnic spot. Suitable fo Boating & Angling.
Ranguan Lake : 25 Km from Khajuraho, is an ideal picnic
spot for boating and angling.
Gangau Dam : Situated some 34 km from Khajuraho. The dam
is surrounded by the Panna National Park & Gangau Sanctuary.
Pandav Falls : About 34 kms from Khanjuraho, a
picturesque waterfall in a bowl shaped valley on the ken river. The Pandavas
are believed to have spent a part of their exile here.
