
Among
the hidden treasures of India are many sites in the heartland of the
country. An ideal tour if you wish to go off the beaten track but still
experience stunning views, striking architecture and monuments and the faded
grandeur of palace hotels.
Day 1 : Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi . You are met and assisted by our representative at the
airport. Transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2 : Delhi
Morning sightseeing of New Delhi including Government buildings, India Gate
and Laxmi Narayan (Birla) Temple. In the afternoon visit Qutb Minar,
Humayun's Tomb and Raj Ghat. Overnight stay in a hotel in Delhi.
Day 3 :Delhi / Gwalior
Take a morning express train to Gwalior . Lunch is followed by a brief city
tour.
The sightseeing today covers the sprawling Fort, with its characteristic
blue enamel work and Sas-bahu temples, and the extravagant Jai Vilas Palace
of the Scindia family. In the evening one can enjoy a son et lumiere show at
the Fort.

Day 4 : Gwalior /
Orchha
This morning , we drive to Orchha , a interesting place by the Betwa river
with beautiful mirror temple. Overnight stay.
Day 5 : Orchha / Jhansi / Bhopal
Travel to Bhopal on the morning Shatabdi Express from Jhansi and transfer
to the hotel for 3 nights. Bhopal, a historic town set around scenic lakes,
has some interesting old mosques which you visit in the afternoon.
Day 6 :Bhopal
Visit the village of Bhimbetka, on the banks of the Betwa, where over 600
rock shelters and caves have been discovered recently. Also visit Bhojpur
and its 11th century Shiva temple with a 2.3 metres high "lingam",
and the incomplete Jain shrine with Mahavira's statue.
Day 7 ;Excursion to Sanchi
Enjoy an excursion to Sanchi, which has the singular distinction of having
specimens of all forms of Buddhist architecture - stupas, chaitya, temples
and monasteries. Return to Bhopal to make an overnight stay here.
Day 8 : Bhopal / Indore
Drive down to Indore this day. Stay the night here.
Day
9 : Indore
Visiting Indore means a visit to some of the famous historical monuments
and religious centres inside the town. Famous for its glass bangles and
jewellery, Indore has some of the best architectural marvels that belong to
the Holkar dynasty.
This morning , we take a half day city tour today. Overnight stay in
Indore.
Day 10 :Indore
The Rajwada or the Old Palace, Lalbagh palace, Kanch Mandir, Chattri Bagh
and the Bada Ganapati are some of the attractions you must visit in Indore.
This day we take adetailed city tour of Indore.
Day 11 :Indore / Dhar
Dhar was the capital of Malwa until Mandu rose to power. There are good
views from the ramparts of Dhar's well preserved fort . This day , we also
drive to Mandu. Exploring this ghost town, dotted with elegant mosques and
palaces. Drive back to Dhar and Stay here for an overnight.
Day 12 : Dhar / Aurangabad
Drive to Aurangabad today. The Aurangabad caves and Bibi-Ka-Maqbara are the
two must visit architectural marvels among the many other structures of
Mughal era in the town.
Day 13 : In Aurangabad
Famous for its caves dedicated to Buddhism, Jainism and Brahmanism of that
time, Ellora makes a must visit site. Lying nearby, is Ajanta another
heritage site especially related to Buddhism from the period of 200 BC to
650 AD.
Day 14 : Aurangabad / Mumbai
This day , we take a flight to Mumbai . Transfer to the hotel . Transit
till the midnight flight
